Amidst drama, questions, and doubts, the great resurfacing of Panic! At The Disco is among us. Though the band's legitimacy and future came into question years ago after key members Ryan Ross and Jon Walker took off after 2009′s Pretty.Odd, the remaining duo of vocalist Brendon Urie and percussionist Spencer Smith proves to be more than enough on their new record, Vices & Virtues.

happy 24th birthday, brendon boyd urie!
brendon is seriously incredibly talented, and he inspires me so much. i just have so much respect and love for him. his dedication to music/p!atd alone is so inspiring, and i’m so proud of him and spencer for getting as far as they have (so far). they’re only getting bigger and better, and i’ll never doubt them. neither of them have ever let fame get to their heads, and that’s incredible (and not likely nowadays) considering how far panic! at the disco has come in the past few years. they’re some pretty amazing guys who i’ll never stop supporting. brendon has worked so hard to get to where he is right now, and everything he’s earned is so well-deserved. love you so much. Since exploding onto the scene in 2005 with their debut album, "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out," Las Vegas band Panic! at the Disco has experienced a fair amount of drama. Over the three years since the follow up to their debut album, the group experienced somewhat of an identity crisis. This coincided with criticism of their Beatles-inspired follow-up album, the departure of two band members and the overhyped drop of the exclamation point from the band's name.
If the gushing reviews of the duo's new album "Vices & Virtues" released today are any indication, Panic! at the Disco has silenced the critics and given their fans something great, returning with the energy and creativity that made the band so special to begin with.
GlobalGrind had a chance to sit down with Panic!'s lead singer, Brendon Urie, to discuss what goes through his head when he's on stage and nearly enrolling in cosmotology school instead of becoming a rock star.
Check out the interview below.

Known for its theatrical live presentations, Panic! at the Disco plans to get bigger, albeit in smaller places, when it hits the road this month to promote its new album, “Vices & Virtues.”
Frontman Brendon Urie says he and drummer Spencer Smith “are all about evolving. We had played all these big arenas and done these big shows in the past. Something we hadn’t done in a while was nice, intimate theaters, a good 2,400-capacity room where you can still see everybody in the crowd as far back as it goes.” Those venues, he adds, allows Panic! to “dress up the stage” in an even more elaborate manner than the larger spaces.
